Ok before I get started Ill point out that I already understand the danger involved in opening an PSU, while it can be dangerous I understand this part and am capable of taking precautions. With that out of the way I have a couple specific questions.

First on my corsair PSU it has a 135mm fan, like many supplies. Im wanting to swap in an RGB fan, I looked at thermaltake supplies but am not a fan, and I already have the corsair psu so I figure I may as well use it. Does anyone happen to know if the PSU fans are the same thickness as what a case fan is? I have a few LL corsair 120 mm fans laying around that I figure I can use.

Secondly is there a commercial made bracket out there to adapt a 120mm fan to a 135mm mount or will I be making my own. I can do that but if there is one already on the market I would likely just buy it.

3rd is will a 120mm fan be sufficient to cool the supply?

You could probably just buy the right size fan for the amount of an adapter if they even exist.

I was trying to do that initially but to the bet of my knowledge and searching I couldnt find a 135mm addressable RGB fan

Ya I can make a bracket out of acrylic with a router, not to worried about it really, just figure if there was one out there premade it would be easier

You would need to know exact specifics from the current fan in your PSU as that particular fan with that size and that CFM etc was placed in there because the engineers calculated what it needed.

just make sure that it’s near exact in my opinion as the last you want is the psu blowing up

but not replacing the fan.

You change the specification of the PSU!

Meaning that if it doesn't do max. rated wattage at the specified temperature.

And due to that, PSU might overheat and cause a fire!

We're talking about Power Electronics. power electronics is specified for 175°C or more. At ~200°C in the transformer the windings might start melting.

Why not use an LED Strip and shine that onto the PSU?

pun intended??
At least with Thermaltake you have Warranty and more importantly:
INSURANCE

If something happens and you cause a fire,

@jonnyGURU already commented on LED fans in PSU.

He didn't find an LED FAN that was good enough/worthy of beeing inside a PSU.

No.

There is a reason why that fan is inside the PSU and not another one.

You shouldn't replace the fan, kill yourself or cause a fire because of that.

Get a new PSU...

You could sell your old PSU for example.
