Does anyone know if I can overclock my ryzen 3 2300x?

On the AMD website it says its got a boost clock of 4ghz and atm i'm running at 3.5ghz, when I go into the bios the core clock is locked and it wont let me change it,

any ideas?

Depending on mobo, but all ryzen cpu's should be unlocked, are you using an a320 board?

What motherboard?

You can't overclock on the a320 chipset.

Otherwise the r3 2300x should be overclockable, maybe try updating bios if you have a b350 motherboard.

Also you need to disable amd core enchantment/turbo boost when overclocking, and maybe you need to go to the "advanced bios".

Yeah, all the B450 boards can OC, how far depends on the VRM and power delivery

Yeah i know but it won’t let me change the clock, it’s locked
