Super slow Galaxy S7 transfers

I think my PC has USB problems. When I transfer from my Galaxy S7 to my external or internal drive the time taken is crazy.

Not only that, but sometimes the transfer fails altogether. 

 

EDIT: S7 Micro SD Card (Sandisk Ultra) connected to PC via USB. Tried USB 3.0 port, makes no difference.

 

Is it normal for 117GB, 252 files to take this long? (It really does take this long)

why dont you use the sd card??

the process isnt long, but often jammed

I would make sure you are using a 3.0 port, or like that guy said, the SD card

Just edited original post to include this info. I am not going to remove my Micro SD Card each time for transfers. I transfer often. I did not add a Card reader for my PC. Who even uses those anymore.

... How and what? What do you mean? I am pretty sure this transfer time is NOT normal. I have had issues with USB for a while now. Reinstalled/upgraded (was using Win 7) to Windows 10 and the USB still seems to have issues.

I do not think this is normal. I am pretty sure most people are able to transfer files just fine in the way I am doing so.

 

Micro SD Card inside my Galaxy S7 ---- USB CABLE ---> Plugged into USB 3.0 front or rear port 

WD External Drive ---- USB CABLE ---> Plugged into USB 3.0 front or rear port 

Transfer from S7 to WD External drive

thats me~~  its fast & reliable, why not?

90+mb/s transfer over usb3.0

 

also s7 only supports usb2.0 speed and you are better off to put the files to pc first then to external drive

Why? That sounds very long and slow. As I said transfer time makes no diff if I transfer to internal or external drive.

nothing to do with speed, but as i said technically its very easy to be jammed/ disconnected

Please explain. Also there is NO WAY I am taking the MICRO SD Card out each time for a transfer. That would damage the thing to put it into the phone. It is not designed for continuous opening and closing.
