Corsair CXm and CX grey labels are very affordable. Don't consider VS units or green labels in a system you care about.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

Just have these 2 laying around just wondering. Will upgrade anyways like I asked in my last thread.

The VX was a good PSU for it's time, but it's sooooooooo old, I'd be worried about the caps of one that's been "sitting around".

The VS isn't that old, but it's not a good PSU.

What Psu is the worst ? Green vx units or orange vs units ?

VX because its ~15 Years old.

Was part of the Original Corsair lineup and never got updated or a sucessor.

The one you have is fine, compared to a 15 yeart old PSU from ~2005 or so.

Why don't you search for seasonic used PSU rather than corsair VS. I bet on the green VX unit.

No, that's a really bad recommendation...

Because Seasonic is totally overrated and people believe they are awesome because they strongly believe its better to mess stuff up yourself than to let others do it and believe that Capacitors, made in china, from a japanese company makes an awesome PSU.

In general: Getting a PSU used is not a good idea because you don't save too much, don't get any warranty with most manufacturers.

Yes, there are some decent Seasonic units but most of the lower end are NOT better than the VS he already has. And I'd not trust a 10 year old Seasonic S12II variant over a newer Corsair VS.
