Hi I'm building a PC and currently am deciding on the power supply. I want something 80+ from a reputable brand, but low price. It's a budget build so I'm trying to keep the price of the PSU under 60$ CAD.

Here is the list for my build:  https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/VmY9kd

It has a 2200g, b450m, 2x4gb ram, rx 570, ssd, etc.

I want a PSU that would be good for this but can also support a couple upgrades, like 8gb more ram, more storage and a new cooler.

this 600 watt. evga 80+ bronze at $45 USD which close to 60 CAD seems like it should be good for your needs, however there are lower power options at lower prices better suited for your power needs, because at 85% efficiency, it will provide 510 watts which based on your system 300 watts seems to be the minimum, but the 450 watt is same price but might not be as lenient to a lot more upgrades that draw alot more power

PSUs are greatly overpriced up here in Canuckastan, in Canada it's $80.

Also, a Vega 64 and 8700K overclocked runs fine on a CX450M...

The 600B is also a pretty shitty PSU....

The CX450M is fine, OP. It'll do so for a long time, and will last you through a few upgrades...

The CX450 is $32 right now in the US, $45 at regular price, and that unit has been professionally tested and teared apart. It also comes with a longer warranty. It has pretty good electrical performance for what you get, and the advertised protections are all working, from what I know.

The BR has not been tested, nor teared apart, by any professional reviewer, from what I'm aware. This usually means the PSU company is a bit scared to send review samples, when it's a larger company that can afford to do so.

Also, it only has 30C ambient temperature tolerance, which is quite low...

oh, well i assume a brand like evga is quite reputable , but i could be wrong about this specific product , i am still a bit unclear about why its such a bad power supply other than stated below , maybe because you have experience with corsair power supplies and have found them to have more reviews

pretty crappy products

I figured that might be the case, but if you have anymore insight into why that is, it would be helpful

They have the brand recognition. Lets take Corsair as an example, people know of their top quality units like the AXi, HXi etc for baller builds. They also have an excellent reputation for their other products such as RAM, AIO coolers and etc.

There are less knowledgeable people who see, oh its Corsair so its must be pretty decent. They aren't 100% wrong, but if you go for the cheapest of anything of any brand its bound to bite you in the end. Its cheap for a reason.

So are you saying that buy a corsair cx450m would be a bad idea, even for a budget build.

CX450m will be fine. Though, looking at the parts list you posted which has the CX450m for $60 CAD, you could actually get the CX450 (2017) for $55 CAD. Better PSU as well if you don't mind that it's not modular (not that modularity really matters with the CX450m since you end up using most of the cables anyway).
