Light gaming -.-

Go to solution Solved by Fasauceome,

Gotta be future proof man, what if YouTube videos need 8 overclocked CPU cores someday with a dedicated GPU for decoding?

Let's just talk about how people get on here and post a build like:

"I just wanna do some light gaming and general computing."

i7-9700K

AORUS PRO WIFI

Splooshy AIO

RTX 2070 - 2080

$1700 later they are like, "Man, I'm only pulling 654 FPS on 1080p Ultra Minecraft!"

-.-

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

It's their money, if they have the cash to use on a high or mid range PC, be my guest. It doesn't at least make it a worse experience if you get a 9700k and a 2070 to play minecraft on the highest settings.

My stuff:

Spoiler

CPU :  Intel i5 8400 | GPU : MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4GB

RAM : 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @ 3600MHz

Mouse : Logitech G502 HERO SE | Keyboard : Mountain Everest Max w/ Cherry MX Brown

Headset : Beyerdynamics DT990 Pro 250Ω w/ AT2020USB+

Monitor : Acer XF240H @  144Hz

I don't disagree. It's just funny to me.

Many people, especially in wealthier countries, live under the assumption that less expensive stuff = terrible performance/quality of life.

That's why people buy $1000 iphones when a $400 android would more than serve their purposes.

Also, people who don't keep up with tech all that much generally only hear about the most expensive options, as those are most advertised.

Ryzen 1600x @4GHz

Asus GTX 1070 8GB @1900MHz

16 GB HyperX DDR4 @3000MHz

Asus Prime X370 Pro

Samsung 860 EVO 500GB

Noctua NH-U14S

Seasonic M12II 620W

+ four different mechanical drives.

Sure, even if you want to spend the money, it's likely better off upgrading peripherals, displays, audio, or anything else about the setup.
