Okay so..I'm a corsair fan myself, and I'm waiting for zen2 (The 16 core part specifically). I'm split on whether I want to go for a lower frequency to be safe or to go for this special edition contrast kit (Guaranteed samsung):

https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Memory/DOMINATOR®-PLATINUM-Special-Edition-CONTRAST-32GB-(2x16GB)-DDR4-3466-(PC4-27700)-C16-Desktop-Memory/p/CMD32GX4M2C3466C16W#tab-overview

And before you hate on the price, I have a 20% off code from Corsair, so it's just under £300 which I can live with. And no, I don't want GSkill because I'm loyal to my brands, and most of my stuff is corsair currently. Obviously 3466 is a struggle on zen+, but zen2 will likely improve on the memory side of things. Opinions?

This is literally the only corsair guaranteed samsung kit that I've seen that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (That rules out the 3200/3600 2019 dominator platinums), doesn't look horrible (That rules out the torque 3200 kit) and comes in 2x16gb (That rules out the chrome and blackout kits because 2x16gb is sold out). It also has to fit the theme, so black, white or silver is important. If anyone can find 3200cl14 or 3466cl16 kit from Corsair that fulfills all those criteria, let me know. I'd ideally want to spend under 250 for those criteria but it seems impossible on corsair kits cause of the small corsair tax.

You think it's worth risking this contrast kit which doesn't officially say it's optimized for ryzen, or should I wait for Computex for info on memory and risk it selling out? Thanks.

By the way, the only reason for Samsung B Die is I want absolutely rock solid reliability, I don't want to take any risks at these sorts of speeds. It's basically for peace of mind.

They don't, but it's pretty safe to say the memory will improve... We can do 3200 currently stable, so I'd imagine 3466 is possible on zen2. Yes I'm guessing, but it's a fairly safe guess.

but then why b-die? bdie is for getting 4000mhz cl17.

bdie doesn;t affect compatability.

Because as I said, I don't take risks. I hate being nervous. This is 32gb 3466 we're talking about, it's not a walk in the park. I want to get the most out of zen2.

Anything over 16GB with Zen+ can be tricky, but I am very very hopeful that a 2X16GB kit and Zen 2 will reach higher speeds than they currently do.  I'd still stay away from any 4x8GB kits though as I'm not certain motherboard manufacturers will have any more control over tuning things for their specific boards than they currently don't have.

That's the problem. This is a special edition kit. By the time Computex comes around, it could have sold out completely. I have my eyes set on this kit. Originally I wanted the chrome special edition but that one sold out and the same goes for the blackout kit. On Gskill's side I can wait for eternity and still get the right speeds. On Corsair, Samsung 3200 cl14 or 3466 cl16 is hard to get at these sorts of prices. There is no doubt that If I don't get this kit, we're talking about £400-500 for 3200 cl14, which I ain't paying in a million years. On Corsair's side, they are known for mixing the maker up on ram. You can only guarantee samsung on the special editions and you can only tell on the other kits by the price (Samsung costs around 100 more on Corsair kits, I can tell which is and which isn't by the price).

It's the price/availability I'm most worried about here. For 16gb I'm fine and I can wait cause there's far more samsung stuff and better prices. But this is 2x16gb, which proves a pain when you're buying Corsair because Samsung is tougher to come by when you're buying 32gb.

Yeah I wasn't sure about 4x8 so I didn't want to take that risk. Since you're running 3600mhz, you think I'll get away with 3466 2x16gb on zen2 with this kit?
