it's fine. Probably not the best for pedal to the metal overclocking, but for just factory XMP it's no problem.

Hey there guys, I just recently bought some new RAM. I bought 2x16GB Trident Z RAM. My issue right now is, because of my NH D15 CPU cooler, my RAM won't fit in slots 2 and 4. I put the RAM in slots 1 and 3 and when booting I get a warning saying "Memory modules were found on non-optimized memory slot".

 

I'm still able to boot, get all 32 GB of RAM and used XMP to bring up my RAM to it's advertised speeds. So is this an issue, thanks.

Just double check with CPU-Z that its reporting the RAM as dual-channel as if its reverted to single-channel that's likely to be a real drag.

WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7
