Ryzen 2600x Single vs All Cores @4.7 Ghz

So recently I have overclocked my Ryzen 5 2600x @ 4.7Ghz, idles @ 40c and Prime95 @ 85c.  Now should I run all the cores at 4.7Ghz or let the runs at their own speeds?

Hmmmmm I thought 4.7ghz is only possible with 7 2700X. Very impressive.

Pics or it didn't happen. Seriously though, I'd love to see some cpu-z/hwmonitor pics and a few cinebench runs just to see how much potential that thing has @ 4.7. As far as I am aware it's nearly impossible to achieve an overclock that high unless on ln2, let alone a Hyper 212. Pics please!

I personally didn’t overclock it, my buddy who knows how to do it did it for me, I’m not home at the moment but if I don’t remember what the voltage was at one 1.56v or  1.65v.  Hey said I got lucky with my chip, Anything above 4.8 GHz it crashes no matter what. When I’m back into days I’ll take Screenshots of my bios and AIDA64.

You need to rest the BIOS to default asap, you are going to end up killing/degrading that CPU rapidly!

I’m like actually working somewhere away from my home for two days but definitely will post the pictures around Saturday or Sunday.  And yes I’m using the new hyper Evo 212 black edition.  

 

When it comes to gaming it seems to run cooler than my stock at 4.2 GHz, which is confusing to me but he did something in the bios to the  CPU and memory.

Ill let it run till it dies also I’m going to purchase Ryzen 3700x anyways.  And the 2600x will go to my daughters gaming rig.

Degradation starts at 1.38v... I suggest you don't run it with more than 1.35v daily.

Like I said I don’t know the voltage I didn’t do the overclocking a friend of mine did it for me.  I’ll post videos and screenshots lol.  I’m guessing 4.7 GHz is too high for Ryzen Is that why people don’t believe me?

yeah, most the very bestest go to 4.3. around half go to 4.2

the rest are 4-4.1

Doesn't mean much. Ryzen's power balancing and clock regulator has a tendency to shoot frequency super high for milliseconds, which gets recorded by software but is never sustained long enough to make a performance impact.

 

If you're actually running 4.7GHz sustained you should hit around 1600cb in Cinebench R15 official with 3000MHz memory.

A) voltages WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to high to be that cool on a 212 evo... 1.6v?? Thats reaching LN2 territory for voltages in the CPU. 1.35-1.4 is the max safe voltages on Ryzen under normal conditions.

 

B) 4.7ghz is again, an LN2 type number. Pretty sure the max you would be able to achieve on a normal chip would be around 4.2 or 4.3 all cores. Maybe 4.4 with a golden boy.

Clocks that high with that voltage is basically 'suicide' runs.
