For this PC build it says there are issues with is I am so confused as it randomly came up today. These are the issues it talks about

Potential Issues / Incompatibilities

  • Warning!1 additional EPS power connector is needed.
  • Note:The motherboard M.2 slot #2 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled.
  • Note:Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.

Anyone know how to correct this?? The case I have is a phanteks p350x.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the RTX2080 need 2 8-pin power connectors?

The M.2 warning is just telling  you that if you put in a M.2 drive, one of the SATA ports is disabled since they used the same PCIe bandwidth

The motherboard you have selected has 2x 8pin EPS connectors for CPU power. The second connector is optional, however PCPP will still detect it has two connectors and flag it as a potential incompatibility. You can disregard this warning.

On most motherboards the M.2 slot when used in SATA mode shares bandwidth from the chipset with the SATA ports on the motherboard. Using the M.2 port will disable one of the SATA connectors on the board since it's technically being used by the M.2 connector. Unless you're planning on populating all 8 of the SATA ports on the motherboard as well as the M.2 slot, you can disregard this.

The memory sticks you have selected are slightly taller than 'normal' RAM sticks, so may cause compatibility with some large air coolers that overhang the RAM slots. Since you're using an AIO you can disregard this.

For reference, the B450 Tomahawk is a great board, on a great sale in the UK currently, and fixes that compatibility message problem :)

true but I got told to go for a x470 board or an x570 when it comes out as I am waiting for the new amd cpus.

If you're waiting, just don't buy a board now. The 5xx boards will be better suited to the CPUs either way.

Why spend so much on an x470 that speculatively should be able to house a gen 3, when you could buy a good B550 that is built specifically for it at (likely) a lower cost?

IMO you'd be wasting cash on an x570 unless you're spending less than $100. You don't need crossfire compatibility, and plenty of B series boards have as good or better performance than certain X series of the last 2 gens.

This RMX series PSU is only $4 more and a step up. I doubt you'd need 650w.

ROG STRIX GPUs are awesome, but you're spending a lot, when The Factory OCed Duke is comparably awesome and $80 less.

If that RAM is chosen for RGB, there are much more affordable options that are just as well branded. Like this one or this one, and I like this one! $50ish in useless spending.

Just some advice! ($ equals UK currency, I just don't know how to type the symbol on a US keyboard.)

Sorry took a nap, I hear your point and I appreciate you changing my recent one. Are you sure 550 is enough? Loads of people told me that 650 is a perfect amount. Also I am ok with the gpu change, the msi one looks better. I aint really sure about the ran tbh. For the ram shall I go for 3200 instead of 3000 as obviously ryzen likes higher ram speeds?. Also should I buy an anti sag bracket for the msi duke too? Looks really heavy. Alsoooo do you know any good 1440p 144hz monitors for gaming??
