1060 3GB. Are the RX570s or 580s not available though? They're much better choices and usually really well priced.

Right now i think the best value in  a GPU is 770s.  They run for $50 and are 26% better than a 1050 TI.    Here in vancouver, 1060s are about $240cnd used.. so you are paying 5x for 40%  performance that being said if you ran 2 770s in sli "In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 Gigabyte GTX G1 Gaming 6GB are marginally better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 SLI."

its old tech but if money is a big issue, this will bring the best value.

Ryzen 5 -5600x

ASUS x570

EVGA 3080 XC3

4x8gb 3600 mhz XPG

GTX 1050Ti is sloooow. GTX 1060 is probably like twice as fast.

For it's size and power draw the 1050 Ti is wicked fast, it's just horribly overpriced 98% of the time. 1060 3GB is a meh GPU, but still better. Would rather an RX570 4GB over that though, or an RX580 4GB/8GB. They're much better value GPUs.

AMD RX570 is the best option for a budget build.

Its far better than those two while not beeing more expensive.

It's not. GTX 1060 is GTX 980 class. And that one ran most games maxed out at 1080p without a problem. GTX 1050Ti could barely run same games at acceptable framerate at 1080p with everything set to Low. I had one myself as replacement card before I bought GTX 1080Ti.

Yeah, if you can get RX580, these are much cheaper now that cryptomining died off. And deliver same performance as GTX 1060. RX590 is also an option, but not much faster while costing a bit more. RX570 ain't bad either, certaonly light years ahead of GTX 1050Ti...

Radeon HD7970 should be similarly priced but way faster these days because, depending on the Game, your 770 is only slightly faster, if at all than a Radeon HD7870 or 270/370, due to lack of driver optimizations.

The old nVidia stuff doesn't age well because of the Optimizatons they don't get no more...

That's absolute horse shit because multiple GPUs don't work in most modern Games!

I just recently tested my two 7970GHz Edition in some games.

In The Division it didn't work, in Assasin's Creed Odyssey it didn't work.

In Nier:Automata it didn't work...

There are only a hand full of games that still work with SLI/CF, most do not.

And the ones that do sometimes even cause some serious Problems (Final Fantasy XIV for example).

It won't as there are better options that have more Memory.

2GiB VRAM is just not enough for most Games. 3GiB is the absolute bare minimum...

And even that isn't that much.

between just those two, the 1060 is the clear winner hands down, the 1gb of extra vram the 1050 has wont compesate for the much worse gpu... that said there are far better options for a budget that would save you money in the long run by not having to upgrade too soon, rx 570 or 580 would be best really for that price range, if your set on one of those get the 1060

Because of the SLI statement that doesn't give him any advantage.

If you don't know anything about something, look into it or don't mention it. Asking someone who knows about it is also a good option.

But that "I just copied it from somewhere" is not helpful at all.

Just imagine he listened to you, bought two 770 and then came back with a Thread "I have two GPU, but Games aren't faster with SLI enabled at all".

Because that would happen.
