When to get a laptop?

So I'm going to college this fall and I need a laptop.

I only have a 1050ti laptop but that ain't gonna cut it for 4 years

and bringing my desktop to college is not possible.

when will nvidia release the new mobile graphics cards?

I know I'll wait a bit for Intel to release the 9th gen mobile cpus but i am not in urgent need for a laptop so i don't mind waiting if nvidia has something new.

but then again if nvidia is definitely not releasing anything new, i might as well get the laptop now.

my price range is around what one would pay for an rtx 2080 max q 32gb ram laptop now.

cheers!

so prefer thin and lights, or doesnt matter cause even like a 15 inch alienware could push your components a bit more because of better cooling

i'm not really worried about cooling because i'm going to put liquid paste on it, undervolt it and put it on a cooling pad when gaming.
