So basically I got a graphics card for my brother for his first PC and bought all the stuff to power it as well got it working and it was displaying to my screen but the resolution isnt covering the screen at all it looks funky and when I go into AMD setting it isnt detecting the graphics card but detecting the onboard graphics from motherboard and that even GPU benchmark isnt detecting it but there's power to it and I have my hdmi hooked up to and and is displaying from it too any help?

Plug it into a USB 2.0 port, even if the lights of your keyboard are off it's still going to send a signal

I'm confident you're doing it wrong, but if you need another way-

 

You can hold shift and press restart, when you get into the recovery page, go into troubleshoot>advanced and restart in to change UEFI or whatever it says
