JBL Pulse 2 RGB LED recycling help please

My JBL Pulse 2 broke and i´d like to know whether its possible to use the RGB LED strips that are in it as lighting in my PC case.

Is it possible and how would i have to do it?

They look like a 5050, datasheet.

I'm not 100% sure of what they are exactly, without a part number.

assuming it is the 5050, idk if it is or not... (just because they look similar, it doesn't mean they are)

VDD = 5vdc

DI = display input (1's & 0's)

VCC/VSS/GND = Ground

For multiple strips, connect DO of the current strip to DI of the following strip, rinse & repeat.

as Mr.Evens said, checking your protocol is a good idea, it will clue you in on how they are being addressed.

look up the neopixle library from adafruit, it will give you a run down on how these types of LEDs work.
