Is there an RTX card that looks "clean and modern"?

PizzaJailer

Recently Zeus sent a thunderbolt directly into my power-supply strong enough to fry most of the components in my desktop so I'm rebuilding from scratch. I decided I wanted to do a black/RGB build and that it was time to turn RTX ON (Sorry team Red). However I'm having trouble finding a card that fits the style of my build.

Beauty is subjective. While some people love their "gamer angles", I prefer a cleaner, modern appearance. I would have loved to use a founders edition card in my build, but unfortunately they don't make those in "dark".

image.png.f3543cdcf733ffd2a36b11b94b3c1ecb.pngIs it really that hard guys?

So, being a long term EVGA loyalist I checked out their RTX lineup first... and oh Lord...

image.png.59c8ed27383251e4a7afd98aff72aecc.pngI'm not exactly sure what the design team was thinking when they decided to use the most gaudy looking transparent plastic on all of their RTX cards, but at least the thousands of E's on the fan blades will improve airflow, right? Thats gonna be a hard pass from me.

After reviewing the available RTX cards my runner up choice was the ASUS TURBO edition:

Image result for rtx asus turbo

  • Relativity discrete looking, nice
  • Subtle RGB lighting, very nice
  • No back-plate... I can buy one
  • Has poor thermal performance, loud and reviews indicating numerous issues, nice... wait a sec

Anyway I'm stumped, I can't find a card that completes my sense of style and I don't want to buy from a brand like PNY or ZOTAC so I haven't looked at options from them.

But hey, maybe I'm still missing something. I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows of some clean looking cards.

the Sapphire Nitro+ is probably something along  the lines o what you are looking for.

and unless you are especially keen on early stage raytracing, you might aswell pick up a Radeon GPU due to their pretty neat pricing atm.

edit: unless you are getting something more than 2070 performance. as the Radeon 7 is quite clearly a silver color desing even tho its pricing is really nice

Uhm, make up your mind, do you want clean looking build or RGB?

Besides, you won't be seeing cooler side of the card unless you go for vertical mount, which is very often poorly executed idea...

But  yeah, most of Gigabyte cards are pretty plain looking (except for Aorus). MSI is another choice, just stick to Armor or Duke

MSI

That outdated dragon logo turns me off instantly.. I like MSI motherboard because they're great and no logo is displayed, even I disable MSI booting logo, but for GPU, if MSI can get rid of that funny dragon logo, I would get them. I'm kind of idealist about looks too, so I can feel the difficulties that OP facing..

Plastidip the nvidia design.

This would be a fun little project. Black plastidip + metalizer on the FE shroud should come out looking quite sleek.
