I have read that you can put a x1 expansion card in a x16 slot (i know it will still run at x1). Just wondering if this is true ;)

I also have a gigabit lan card pci-e x1 in a x4 expansion in it works beautifuly. just be careful  not to bottleneck your GPU by halfing it's pci e bandwich.
