Ekwb fluid gaming GPU water blocks with clear tops?

So ever since Ek released the fluid gaming series I've wanted to watercool my GPU (1070 FE) but I havent pulled the trigger on it yet because the tops of the blocks aren't see through and I dont really want to drop $500 on a nickel loop just too see the water over my GPU. Anyways my real question is, will Ek be releasing plexi/acrylic tops for the 1000 series blocks or is there somewhere I can buy one that's not from ek?

Do i Recommend Ryzen? Yes. All of the Yes.

If you need to do the aluminum stuff, I don't know of any see-thru aluminum 1070 blocks, sry

I also don't expect them to invest more time/money into making them. It's pretty niche.

Main Rig: R9 5950X @ PBO, RTX 3090, 64 GB DDR4 3666, InWin 101, Full Hardline Watercooling

Server: R7 1700X @ 4.0 GHz, GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB DDR4 3000, Cooler Master NR200P, Full Soft Watercooling

LAN Rig: R5 3600X @ PBO, RTX 2070, 32 GB DDR4 3200, Dan Case A4-SFV V4, 120mm AIO for the CPU

HTPC: i7-7700K @ 4.6 GHz, GTX 1050 Ti, 16 GB DDR4 3200, AliExpress K39, IS-47K Cooler

Router: R3 2200G @ stock, 4GB DDR4 2400, what are cases, stock cooler

I don't have a problem...

The fluid gaming series are all aluminum loops, so the blocks themselves are aluminium including the top plate. You can not use a copper or nickel plated block in a fluid gaming loop or risk having galvanic corrosion.

they haven't announced any plans to add plexi blocks and frankly unless your case is inverted or you have a vertical GPU mount you are NEVER going to see it.

in theory, but I would confirm with @EK_Derick or @EK Luc or just someone at EK in general but maybe this plexi top https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc-geforce-gtx-fe-rgb-upgrade-kit

is a direct swap, assuming they machine the aluminum block to the same specs as the nickel plated ones i can't see why not.

I've asked EK on Twitter. Will report back what they say.

He's not wanting to put a nickel plated copper block in, he wants a clear plexi cover to install onto his aluminum block in place of the black aecetal cover. so it's a simple question of if the blocks are machined the same so that the Plexi cover for a normal nickel plated block will fit the aluminum block.

Cheap is as cheap does. Get a used 10 series block. Should be able to get a 1080 quite cheap now.

Check Bykski and Barrow. They do cheaper blocks with plexi tops.

I bought a 1080ti used, which came with a Barrow plexi rbg block. They look and perform fine.
