I'm pretty sure the best you can put in is a Core 2 Duo T7600, from what I could tell looking at http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(chipsets)/945PM_Express.html

Thanks!

Got an old Sony Vaio VGN-CR21S, and I was curious if its possible to upgrade the CPU? It's rocking an T7250 atm.

You can but honestly it's not worth it.

See it as a more of a sentimental thing, so anything goes!

Nah don't bother mate, considering the CPU comes from 2007 I'd say this laptop is at least 12 years old.

I say why not! Sentiments are great. I upgraded my old 2010 PC for the fun of it, since I was 10 at the time that it came out. :) I'm soon going to be replacing my battery of my iPhone 6s even though I don't use it anymore, it's a sentimental thing. ;)

I tried Googling to see if I could find any CPU upgrade videos for your laptop, and this is the closest I could find:

Not sure if it's entirely the same, I'd recommend checking under the hood of your laptop just to confirm you can in fact upgrade the laptop. :)

Nikolayy I have a Sony Vaio VGN-Cr21S like yours and I am also intested on upgrading my CPU. Did you perform the CPU upgrade finally? Which new CPU have you installed? Is working fine? Thanks in advance for your information.
