A month ago or so I noticed my notebook running kinda hot. Here's a link to my notebook: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246328

It has turned off 3 times. I noticed that the VGA port gets noticeable hot. This last time it turned off I decided to open the bottom door that shows the CPU, GPU, HDD, and RAM. I cleaned the fan with some compressed air. I noticed one of my RAM modules wasn't strapped down properly and decided to reseat the ram. While the door was off I powered the machine on to check that the fan was running, I feared maybe the fan went out. It looks like the fan and heat sink could be taken off easy. I was thinking of maybe getting some Arctic Silver and applying that to see if it makes a difference. I am using this on a notebook cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834997727. I'm trying to diagnose whats wrong so I don't have to send it in for repair. I have a warranty through newegg but I would want to take the hard disk out before sending it in and I'm not sure how they would take that.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Try to change the paste, if it does not help then the way the CPU cooler for the notebook is set out it bad. My old HP laptop died from overheating, it never turned on again.
