Hi guys, I just have one question. What is the best software in your opinion for stress CPU for both stability and thermals? I heard that prime95 is good, but also heard that prime95 can brick CPU because it's too much. And I also heard asus realbench is good, but people also says it's also unreliable. I want to use Aida 64, but it costs money and I'm kinda broke. Any suggestions?

it is as heavy as it can get, but also means if you can pass it, you can pass anything.

"Bricking" as in...making it useless...like a literal brick.

Prime95 just causes the PC to crash / freeze up, not brick.

 

AIDA64 is not free, but you can use the trial version.

The stress test program should still work; you just lose some of the features.

 

Another one you could use it 3DMark.

Again, there is a free version (Basic Edition) you could run.

it wont brick the CPU like how failed OS installs/root on a smartphone can brick them, it just crashes and you need to get back into the BIOS and adjust your settings

 

I myself is kinda impatient and only run it for 15 mins. I'll add 0.03v to the last known stable settings.

I just ram prime95 for around 15ish minutes and the temp reading in Ryzen Master is 79C. Is that normal for a stock Ryzen 2600X ( it’s boosting to 4Ghz on all 12 threads) with a cryorig H7 cooler?

The only way I could see p95 bricking a CPU is if your cooling is inadequate. But even then the system should shut off to prevent damage to the CPU anyways.

79C is a perfectly safe temp. Considering its an H7, I think that's pretty good for a P95 run; you'll probably never see that high in actual gaming, so I think its great.

4GHz is what you should expect for maximum load, the 2600x only randomly boosts to 4.2Ghz on only a few cores.

Alright, and considering ryzen can't usally overclock too much furter than stock, I guess I'm just gonna stick with the H7 instead of buying a new AIO cooler.

The H7 is a pretty decent cooler. 

P95 is the pinnacle of CPU heat generation, its highly unrealistic. You could probably OC a little bit and still be fine for normal use
