Ebay graphics card

zachb2185

Hey, so I want to buy a nice graphics card for a good price, but the only place I could find with a good price was ebay. I know that Linus just uploaded a video on the all ebay PC but that was one ad and I don't want to get scamed. I'm kinda stuck, what should I do?

I was always a nay sayer about Ebay used GPUs...until I bought 2 a few months back.

Just use paypal and ebay guarantee and you cannot get scammed.  Easy as that.

Im tickled pink with my experience.  Saved quite a bit of money.

Depends which one. A lightly used mining card is fine, but optimal would be a used card from a normal system. Avoid cards with any physical damage, make sure the seller has lots of sales, and a good rating. Use PayPal, and if you get scammed, either get a replacement card, or get a refund. I've bought on eBay b4, and generally you can get some good deals. (Got a 1300 G2 for 79.99. Owner ran 4x vega64 undervolted)

Tips:

  • Don't buy from Asia - either it'll be a scam (If it's obviously priced well) or shipping will be slow.
  • Be patient and willing to go to auctions
  • Read the WHOLE description of the item

Bought ~15 cards - only 3 were fakes (and I should've been able to tell from the listing, but I messed up). All 3 got returned under eBay's Guarantee.

Pay with Paypal and you're pretty much in the clear. Test the card before you get it, don't fall for things that are obvious scams. Use common sense.

Also check out the Reddit Hardware Swap, you'll probably find a better deal there.

Try r/hardwareswap on reddit. Better pricing and lots of deals all the time. I've bought and moved a good bit on that subreddit.

buy from a seller who have at least some positive feedback from selling, always check the description,if it is second hand ask for superposition benchmark screenshot and maybe aida 64.

if the seller is unresponsive search for another one.

i got mine gpu from ebay and everything is fine so far, after my friend saw mine he got himslef the same gpu from the same seller(rx 580 8gb nitro +)

if worst come to worse you have ebay customer support and if you pay with paypal(which i recommend)you have paypal buyer protection.

sorry for my english
