Motherboard desplaying amber Light

So, got a motherboard a while ago (Asus strix b250f gaming) but didn't have a CPU to go with it, brought my new CPU (Intel i5 7400) and went to set it up. Wanted to test the motherboard plugged in the correct cables (24 pin power and 8 pin CPU) turned on the PSU and there was a steady amber light. Don't want to know any trouble shooting tips I've been over that in other forums. Want to know if the light means I need to replace my motherboard simple as. No, nothing is on the motherboard and yes, I've done all trouble shooting tests. I've tried it with all my different parts plugged in in almost every scenario possible. Any help would be appreciated.

That doesn't say what a solid amber/orange LED means

No, can't short start the motherboard or start it with a chassis fully connected

So you are at the building stage, testing but not doing final install ?

 

In my opinion,( not and expert ) You may need a bios update . So I would do a final install, then try to boot and see the BIOS if it's below --> 0202 <-- you will need to flash the bios.

I would suggest a new PSU . But that may not fix your problem. Sorry. ?

That should be, as the manual pointed out, stand-by power indicator LED (e.g. is the motherboard getting power).

Do you have all the necessary components to get the system running (e.g. CPU, RAM, motherboard) or are you missing some components?

 

PSU, CPU, RAM, and motherboard would be the minimum requirements to be able to make it into the UEFI BIOS.

The i5-7400 has an iGPU, so a video card would not be absolutely necessary.

A storage drive (e.g. HDD or SSD) is not required to be able to get into the UEFI BIOS.

Also, and of the Debug LEDs lighting up at all (e.g. VGA_LED, DRAM_LED, CPU_LED, etc) ?
