1. Budget & Location
I have a budget of £600 (I am not able to go higher) and am based in the UK.

2. Aim
I am planning on doing some photo editing, light audio work and some gaming. Games like F1 2013, Dirt 3, Assassins Creed 4 and the Batman Arkham franchise.

3. Monitors
I am using 1 1600*900 monitor and will not be upgrading to more than 1 any time soon as will be leaving for uni in 1 1/2 years so need to stay compact.

4. Peripherals
II will only need a copy of windows - preferably 8.

5. Ascetics

I am very picky with PC components, so some colour schemed in the suggested builds please, and for the love of god NO brown PCB s.

Thanks

Also, can it be compact, so no HUGE cases.

Not hugely fussed, just 2 main colours, blue is my least favourite paired with black but my favourite paired with white so just experiment and I will say what I do or don't like about the colour scheme.

What is the colour scheme? and why no case?

Oh whoops.

I mean to use either of these cases depending on whether you wanted a smaller case, front usb 3.0, or more expandability.

There really isn't much of a color scheme.

Colour Scheme was point 5 as was no brown PCBs. Also, those cases take it over budget, £600 is the absolute maximum.

Why only 1 8GB stick of ram not 2*4GB?

Pricing and your issue with being picky with components, color scheme, and whatnot.

Here are 3 designs I have come up with, each as a colour scheme and name idea.

Frostbite - Black and White (mITX) - http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mclaren12c/saved/3s99

Nightwing - Black and Red (mATX) - http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mclaren12c/saved/3xbZ

Hush - All black (ATX) - http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mclaren12c/saved/3xdb

Which is est and how can they be improved?

They're all more expensive and worse than what I suggested.

The prices in the UK do not scale with dollars in a linear fashion. All of my builds are £50 cheaper than the one you suggested.

...

Why post US links then?

^

There's a UK version of pcpartpicker and you used the US version.

We can't read your mind and know where you're shopping/located if you don't tell us.
