Downgrade Ps4 Firmware

If I format the HDD inside the PS4 on a PC and try to reinstall the software to 5.05 can I? Or are Sony assholes and won't let you? I wanna jailbreak the console, if you're wondering.

No, that won't downgrade the firmware as some of the firmware has already been written to the internal NAND-flash. Sony doesn't want people downgrading the consoles exactly because that'd make it easier to jailbreak them.

So you need to get an older PS4 (PRO) with hackable firmware.
