Will this motherboard and cpu will support overclocking?

The chipset is not optimized for overclocking, rather get a 970.

helped building up the CPU Overclocking Database and GPU Overclocking Database, check them out ;)

The CPU can overclock. The motherboard supports it but i wouldn't do it on that particular board.

Thanks that is what i wanted to hear. Witch motherboard would you recommend?

What is your budget?

the price of this but 75 is the absolute most that i can afford.

There isn't really anything within your budget that is capable of overclocking.

Then what is the cheapest that can overclock? only to 4 ghz is that a lot? If it is then i will forget it. Don't want to pay too much for it.

The cheapest i could recommend you is the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 but it's $95 on newegg.

It definitely worth the extra money, as it will be a good base if you want to oc more or upgrade the cpu in the future.

I would perfer the EVO, Pro, or UD3.

 

The OP will be happier later when he doesn't run into issues.

yes, you can! but you shouldnt....not on that board!
