EPS12v Connector:
Mini-Fit JR ; 5557
Circuits: 8
Part #: 0050361713
Sex: Male
Mate: 5559
Crimp Terminal #: 0039000039

4-pin CPU power.(Replaced by EPS12V)
Series: 5557
Circuits: 4
Part: 0050361746
Sex: Female
Mate: 5559
Crimp Terminal #: 0039000039

Digikey codes for housings made by Amp/Tyco (Molex Mini-Fit compatible) :

4-pin power supply housing for male pins A1402-ND
4-pin power supply housing for female pins A1431-ND

8-Pin EPS +12 Volt

          3.7.1  Molex

  • 39-28-1083 - Male, PCB Header, V2, Natural (White)
  • 39-01-2080 - Female, Crimp Housing, V2, Natural (White)

          3.7.2  AMP/TE

So basically, go to a distributor like Farnell  http://uk.farnell.com  or http://www.digikey.com or http://mouser.com or http://www.rs-components.com

For example, Digikey > connectors > rectangular connectors - housings > molex > mini-fit jr 5557 :  Digikey link

And if you look in the first table, one of the first results should be the 4pin molex 0039039042 : https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/0039039042/WM13116-ND/4693015

And  you can see in the tables above, vertical headers : 5566 series would be one.

I went with molex  , 4.2mm pitch, 4 positions in the rectangural connectors - headers - male pins and got this:  DIGIKEY link

A bunch of the first results are these - just have to pay attention at the keying inside (look in datasheet and see how the plastic is actually keyed and make sure your 4pin eps goes inside):

1 https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/0039281043/WM3801-ND/61400

2 https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/0039288040/WM23801-ND/930297

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/0039299042/WM7325-ND/1624281

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/0039293046/WM3844-ND/2002651

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/39-29-9043/WM3854-ND/2002661

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/0039306047/WM17746-ND/1633818

Though usually the ones stocked in higher quantity are the most common used.

Long story short bad adapter, catch fire, burn connector. I don't really want to replace the motherboard and I'm fairly good with a soldiering iron, however I cant find a 4pin female cpu power connector online anywhere, I live in the Uk and was wandering if anyone knows where I can get one?

Much thanks

Might just have to get an extension cable like this: https://amzn.to/2WmDweh and cut off the male end then solder the leads to the motherboard.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

I believe most pc power connectors are from Molex. You'll probably be able to find the right pcb mount one on digikey, mouser, or whatever the UK equivalent to those are.
