So I am probably going to sound a little noobie in this post but really need advice on what to look for here... I just upgraded some parts going from a AMD fx8350 to a ryzen 7 2700X and with it came the upgrade to DD4 ram.... I use my pc for Streaming console games (ps4) and rendering videos (YouTube) and I do not game at all with my pc... With that being said I bought the new ryzen 7,  ASRock B450 Pro4 Socket AM4 AMD B450 MOBO and Team T-Force Vulcan 16GB 2x8GB DDR4 2400 Ram... I am having some issues streaming at 1080 60fps aswell as recording and was wondering if it is possible if the ram speed was the hold up?

Any advice would be appreciated and again kill me if this seems like a dumb question because I am more then aware I still have much to learn on the subject...

Thanks

Chris.

It's fairly possible, as Ryzen processors depend on ram thats about 2666 - 3000mhz.

ryzen's multicore/threaded performance is linked to ram speed, so faster is better, 3000-3200 tends to be the best $/performance. That being said I'd think if you're just using the pc to stream while playing ps4 it should be perfectly capable, what program & settings are you using?

That depends on what the issue is, if the answer is ~15% slower performance than expected then sure, otherwise no.

i am just using obs for stream and rec4 for recording the software for avermeadia, just seems like when i  am capturing 1080p 60fps its stutters every 10-15 secs and isnt smooth, if I oc my ram to 3000 would that be worth it or should i bring the ram back and switch it for the better speeds?

Overclocking ram can be very hit or miss, and it can bluescreen you unexpectedly, if you can return and get the higher speed ram that's probably a good idea
