The short answer: If you don't have completed college/higher education or at least 1 year of professional work experience, you aren't getting one.

Bit longer: Your options are what they are. Linus talked about this in some recent WAN show (I watched 2 last ones back-to-back so I don't remember which), they have very good entertainment skill pool in their local area. So for them to get permit to hire foreigner, that person would need to be specially fit for the position. With professional experience and degree to back up their validity. If you are still a student, you could try to do it "Dennis-style". With study and work permit where you work part time to gain professional experience (student exchange program). Or if you can get work from Canada now, maybe doing work from US to Canadian company. Then you can prove yourself to be valuable enough so they can bring you over. Its easier to get permit when you already have contract with a company.

Linus lives in “Canadian Hollywood”. Seriously though, Vancouver has one of the largest examples of entertainment industry in Canada. A great number of films and tv shows are filmed there.

That’s not the type of talent they are lacking. Which puts you at a significant disadvantage, since you’ll have to be even better than all the competition, and theyll have to prove that they couldn’t hire someone else instead.
