I have the benq ew3270u, it supports freesync and therefore also g-sync with the latest drivers. I have it connected to a gtx 1080 with a dp1.4 cable. I tried enabling g-sync but i still see a lot of tearing compared to v-sync, am i doing something wrong or does g-sync just not really work on this monitor? i would appreciate it if someone was able to help me.

I think it's on by default, because i can't find it anywhere in the onscreen menu. And in the user manual under freesync it just says connect a displayport cable.

Maybe hidden somewhere in the display's OSD? Some times the option can be in weird menus. Have you searched it thoroughly?

The VRR with that monitor has a limited range of 40fps to 60fps, so ull need ot ensure u keep within that range for Adaptive sync to work.
