I've decided that I'll just have to deal with mouse that are too big, so now I'm looking for an accurate MMO mouse.

I'm most interested in the Mad Catz M.M.O.7 because of it's immediate profile switch, adjustable weights, aesthetic appeal, and interesting button layout. The Razer Naga 2014 is considerably cheaper, but it seems plain and annoying to just hit buttons with barely any space between them. The action lock on the MMO7 is cool too.

Has anyone found this mouse to be inaccurate? I've heard that it won't work on some mouse pads, I think darker ones. I have a royal blue mouse pad, so I want to know if it works on that.

I've also heard that Mad Catz has terrible customer service, so would returning the mouse if I'm not satisfied be out of question?

I'm open to other mice, but they have to have a decent number of buttons on the thumb side, and they have to be wired. I've been unable to find an optical MMO mouse though :(

I think it depends what mmo games you play.

I only play LoL so I bought the Razer Naga Hex LoL Edition, LoL edition is significantly much more expensive though.

From what I have seen in other reviews. I would say the Razer Naga is pretty solid for most games. Dispite how much I hate razer.

I use my MMO7 on a black Steelseries QCK and its fine for tracking.

Customer supportwise, not had to deal with them yet, my sensor went weird a few months after I got it but I got in touch with the retailer, not Mad Catz. Had it about year and a half now and its fine.

Personally, I went MMO7 over Naga or logitech (G700 is it?) as it had the most ergonomic layout.

I initially bought it for MMOs (figures?), but now I've stopped playing, I still use a bunch of the buttons and having a higher DPI is nice now I'm used to it.

Rebinding reload, knife, switch back all those sorts of things are nice to do and quicker as they are under the thumb.

Software side, I've been able to make pretty much any macro I need, but for the most part I have a gaming profile where all the keys are mapped to non-press ables, like num pad 7 so I can just straight bind it to an attack/control.

If you have any other specifics, I can try to help :)

I really like the razer naga 13 bought it about a year ago haven't had any problems so far good quality, good feel, good sensitivity. The only other mmo mouse I'd recommend would be the Logitech g600. When I first got the naga it took me a while to memorize where all 12 buttons were on the side of the mouse.the g600 has slanting on all the side buttons so it's a lot easier to memorize where all the buttons are on the side. I still think 12 is overkill I use at tops 9 (1-9). You should also look into the razer hex if you don't want so many buttons.

I've heard that the Left and right mouse buttons are a little mushy, that the action lock gets in the way, and that the 5D switch isn't designed well enough. Have you had any problems with these?

I've no problems with either the left or right mouse button, but only a microsoft mouse to compare to.

Action locks have been activated by accident a few times, but not enough that it annoys me. If it did I would simply disable it for my desktop profile and leave it enabled for gaming.

The 5D was a little awkward to get into the correct position, but now its there I can activate it easily and use it well enough. I use it for the 4 weapons in FTL, same for Far Cry 3, as well as some desktop macros.

Corsair M95 is pretty solid. Has a different button layout from the Naga.

Personally though, I don't see the point of excessive side-buttons. I can easily get away with only 2, but then again, I play GW2. It's not really a hotbar-based MMO like most others.
