This might be a great macbook cooling solution?

While I was watching the live tiny gaming pc build today, it hit me when Linus said he wants some kind of tin foil water bag to cool a macbook that I've seen something from Taobao ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) might achieve that. 

Here's the link, basically it's a giant water block sitting underneath the laptop, though i wonder if the thermal pad will make a mess for long term use:

From the looks of it that's just a big copper tray with a little block for water to run through on that one spot. Nah that's a big water block as a whole, the square block on the side is for connecting water pipe.

 I asked the seller he said it was custom made and he forgot to take picture of the water way inside. Guess it's similar to other laptop water blocks from that seller. 

Think of this, I think Alex can actually CNC a water block out of copper plate since they already built a smaller one lately.

It makes contact with the CPU or just "cools" the bottom of the laptop like those cheap bases that come with a fan anc claim to lower your temp? If it's the second it's just another hoax

 

What's the point of cooling the exterior if the internal components are still hot..... it makes no sense at all but somehow users keep buying stuff like that.

Linus did the same with a passively cooled laptop (One of the MacBook Airs I think), except it was just in a waterbath instead of an actual product. He lowered temps quite a bit.

Obviously this wouldn't work on laptops that have actual cooling capabilities, but passively cooled ones might see a benefit
