2700x question

Currently in the middle of building my pc and totally forgot about the thermal paste. I haven’t put it all together yet but before I install cpu into motherboard. 

 

Is the stock paste on the cooler good enough? Or should I run out to the store really quick to get more ?

the stock paste is fine.

Run the stock paste until you plan on upgrading the cooler.  It works pretty damn well.

Got the stock cooler installed.

 

where do I plug the fan in.

Should be a fan header labeled CPU_FAN relatively close to the socket. The RGB header for the cooler should be stacked right next to the CPU Fan header. Check your manual if you can't find it. Headers should be labeled on like the first page.

So plug it into the cpu fan 1?

Cool and another question there is a triangle on the corner of the cpu. I match that up with the half circle on the motherboard when I put the cpu in ?

If you're using the Wraith Prism cooler you'll need to refer to the install instructions in your manual to the letter. The cooler is actually pretty difficult to install.

The directions suck.

 

i have two other cables in the box for the prism cooler. One day usb and the other is an idk. Do I need these? Will my wraith cooler light up without those

The one with the 4 female pins is the RGB header that is controlled through the BIOS. The USB Cable does the same thing but you can control the RGB in software in Windows.

If the PSU has an intake on the bottom, flip the PSU so it can intake.

It only has a fan on one side

Right but does the case have a grill on the bottom, if so face the fan that direction so it can move air unobstructed
