EVGA N1 450W

Something like a Corsair HX/AX/AXi or SeaSonic Prime Ultra 750W+. The SeaSonic is about the same quality as the AXi for much less, so I'd get it.

Whisper M 550W, Straight Power 11 550W, Dark Power Pro 11 550W or RM650i. Depending on the pricing and availability. EVGA doesn't really have quiet units (except for the T2), and all of them lack multi rail.

550w just wont cut it with a system like this.

No.  The Corsair AX is the same as the Seasonic Prime.  And the AX is less.

Prime 850W:  https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151196

T2 is just stupid expensive.

But OP doesn't need that much power, so I suggest a RM650x or RM650i.

They are about the same price and do you have any reasons other than price to chose those units?

Agree.  The 2080Ti has transient spikes that can trip OCP or OPP in a 550W PSU.  I've even seen issues with some 650W PSUs.

If you tune down the efficiency to 80+ Gold, you save nearly 80$ on the Prime. It's still the same quality iirc, just worse efficiency.

I've mainly been looking at corsair rm850x / i and the supernova 850w g2. Any opinions?

Look on pricespy.co.uk they are the same price, well close enough anyway.

The AX850 is 50 pounds more than the 750W Prime Ultra Gold

They're about the same quality. Looking at jonnyGURU's reviews, the AXi has better ripple, but the two's ripple are in such a good bracket that for normal use, it really would not matter at all. I'd go for the SeaSonic Prime Ultra series, it's a pretty good PSU equivalent to the AX or AXi.

If you think I'm being a shill, I did support Corsair like this a few months ago on PSUs, and the line is honestly pretty good so it's valid to say it's good ok thanks bye

what would be the difference between the prime ultra gold and say a rmx or rmi to warrant an extra £25?

AX850 isn't Gold.  It's Titanium. Based on Prime Titanium.

Yes, but in terms of quality the Prime Gold seems to be about the same, and the efficiency gap isn't that big. It's not like we're making a jump from 80+ White to 80+ Platinum here lol

The Prime Ultra is slightly higher quality, and has a longer warranty.

So the best psu for my money with this build would be a Seasonic Prime Ultra Gold 750W? Is there a point in spending an extra £30 on just build quality?

What psu would you buy if you were in my situation? I am still torn.
