Upgrade hp 14-ce0068st from W10 Home to Pro

I have a brand new  HP 14-ce0068st 14 inch i5-8500 laptop which has W10 home. I am planning on upgrading to Windows Pro 10. If I just change the key will it update to Pro and no need of reinstall from scratch, right? Any advice before I make a move. I have see discussions that some people having trouble that It still shows W10 Home even after changing the key.

Use the windows store for activated version or Windows download tool

Why, what is the problem by just changing the cd key and let the windows update do the magic.

Type in slui.exe 3 into start menu and run it.

Enter in Product Key.

Follow directions.

Reboot.

Check system settings to see if it has changed. 

If not do this:

Open Regedit.exe as local admin. 

Navigate to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion 

Change ProductName to Windows 10 Pro

Change EditionID to Professional

Reboot the system

Check in your system settings menu to see if it has changed.
