I am planning to get a ryzen build by the end of this year, and I just want to check that I have chosen all the right components that are the most value for money.

Here are the specs:

NZXT H500

Ryzen 5 2600

Zotac 1060 6gb Amp! Edition

Asrock B450M Pro4

CX650M Corsair PSU

Corsair Vengeance LPX c15 3000mHz

Seagate Barracuda 1TB

Samsung Evo 860 250GB

I know that the new ryzen cpus and GTX 1660 are coming soon, and I may opt for these if the price range is within my budget.

Are there any other improvements besides the CPU and GPU that i can make?

Should I get the corsair CXM series or invest more in the RMX series?

My disagreement would be the 1060 and the seagate(for failure rates). Go with a newer gpu from either brand. Also invest in the RMX.

P.S. I think MSI B450 boards are a bit better than these of Asrock dute to vrms but you re getting the 2600 and not the 2600x so the mobo you chose is ok.

if you are going to be upgrading towards the end of the year - then wait for the ryzen 3000 series CPU's. They all being released July/August.

Also look into the RTX 2060. as @Settlerteo mentioned I would opt for a MSI b450 due to better VRM's. Even tho you might not OC now, always better to have it rather than not.

Rx 580 is cheaper atm and a better buy.

The 250GB samsung SSD is not worth it. Grab the 500GB Crucial mx500 SSD for just about the same cost, same-ish performance and twice the storage.

Spend the leftovers for a better mobo, or 2TB HDD.

A cx550 (2017)  PSU from Corsair is fine.

I wouldn't even plan a build unless you're within a month or two of building it.  So much will change in the next 10 months.

If you want an HDD only for movies, small office files and music then go for a WD Blue(the new ones) or a Seagate Ironwolf or WD Red. If you want some games or any 'heavier' software then your best choice is a WD Black(check the new 4,6Tb models). In any kind of workflow the black is the best choice but i don't recommend it always cause of price. Price is also the reason Barracudas sell that much.
P.S. In terms of aging and rewriting WD Reds and then Blacks are the best mainstream drives.

I've always trusted Toshiba drives as well.   Like @Settlerteo said, WD and Seagate make good drives too.

Yup Toshiba X300 is also a good desktop drive and much much better choice than a barracuda. I don't know the warranty there though.

I am confused, what is the difference between the WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD and the WD Blue PC SSD? Or is there any difference at all?

It's the form factor most likely.  PC is the M.2 version.

Link them if you want exact clarification.
