would you get 1070ti or rtx 2060 if they have the same price?

Jimboynoob

I would get RTX 2060 as they perform almost identically but the 2060 has better NVENC which helps a lot if you're recording or streaming gameplay.

What WereCat said, plus I'm fairly certain the 2060 uses less power. Plus, even though RTX might be useless (right now) it'll probably keep the value higher for when you sell the card later.

Depend if you need +2GB VRAM or not.

Most people say newer is better.

But it depends! As @xAcid9 said before, 1070 Ti has more RAM. I had the 1070 Ti before I bought my 2070 and it was a great card.

You may also consider at which resolution you want to play. I heard 1070 Ti is better for WQHD, which I used. If you only play at FHD go for 2060, but... if you play games like Witcher 3, you will be happy to get 2 GB more RAM!

At the same price why do you want to buy an older card that perform almost the same. Get the rtx 2060 it is a better investment . 2gb vram of the 1070ti  isn't worth it imo

2060 is worthless for its RTX features, it cannot run them fast enough. I would get the 1070 Ti rather.

I'd take the 1070ti because its 1-2% faster and the 8GB of vram will get you much futher.

surprised nobody mentioned future driver support so far. From that term, 2060 is a better choice as well.

heck, it performs better now, than when it was introduced. I'd take 2060, the 2gb vram is nice feature, but mostly irrelevant if playing on FHD

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )

For me it would be 1070Ti.

Same price? (+/- 5%)

Same performance? (+/-5%)

Go for higher Framebuffer then.

Id say the same in a 1070 Vs 1660Ti, or 590 Vs Fury, 960 Vs 1050Ti, 1060 Vs 580, 980Ti Vs 1070, 780Ti Vs 970, etc given the same hypothetical conditions stated above. IMHO this early state of RTX is not worth trading off for 2GB of VRAM.
