Hi all!
So i have thing strange situation:
i got new Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P with FX 8350 onboard with a stock fan. Also i have a 90mm fan inside the block.
Now, what bothers me about temperature levels of CPU is (pls see the screen) that the default temperature is about 10-15 degrees, and when loaded never goes above 50.
I mean that too good to be true, considering all the posts of people about this FX scorching temps, and i'm concerned.
So does anybody know, maybe there is some defect in the CPU or smthn and i see wrong temp readings, and the actuall ones is 20-25+ degrees higher?

From what I remember none of the Bulldozer-based chips had proper temperature sensors on the CPU, but rather they were based on the motherboard, or some shit like that. Someone who remembers this better than I do can probably correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: Turns out I was half-right; it wasn't a motherboard-based thing but rather some guesstimation thing.

Those old AMD CPUs have a shitty temp algorithm, not a temperature sensor, and it's often wrong.

If you want to see more accurate temps look at the socket CPU temp of the motherboard.

HWinfo can show that.

there is no temp sensor in the CPU, its pure guesswork that cant be trusted.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Ok, so according to HWinfo the CPU temp is around 20 higher then CoreTemp tells me.
Also, sthere is some unknown to me Temperature3-to-6 graphs, first of which is showing the exact temp the COreTemp is showing, and the rest doesn't appear to be "alive" at all.
Anyway, thanks for the replies, i guess 60-65 gd in heavy load is not so bad, but i think i still gonna get myself a decent cooler (maybe some FX user can reccomend me one?).
