Random weird question, where can I get pants for really tall slim guys? I'm looking for pants with a 28" waist and 36" inseam. I've check all the stores in my vicinity and either the pants are too big or too short.

Not sure why I'm asking this here but I'm out of ideas.

What is actually supposed to go here? Some people put their specs, others put random comments or remarks about themselves or others, and there are a few who put cryptic statements.

When I was that skinny I just did with a belt, I could find 30 or 32s pretty easy. I think your best chance is to look at cheapo jeans, some of those chinese made ones literally do measurements wrong- I had jeans the same "size" that were both too small in the waist or too big. I was able to find 30s that were closer to 28s for exmaple. Still needed belt. I needed 34 not 36 inseam though.

Unfortunately those ones that cannot measure also have wildly varying inseams, so it takes lot of experimenting, but once you find ones that fit well you can stock up.

When I was a 29 waist and 32 inseam I did it differently: My dad got tired of looking around and taught me how to take in a waist. 30/31x32 is pretty easy to find, and you can almost always take in 1 or 2 inches on a good pair of jeans or slacks.

My recommendation would be to stock up on some cheap jeans, and practice taking in the waist. It'll save you tons of money in the long run. Plus, it opens you up to basically all styles of pants, and thread is significantly cheaper than running around looking for odd sizes.

yah my solution is more for cheap jeans, definitely do this for nicer ones. I like 20$ jeans since I used to absolutely destroy them.

It's much better to modify something and get it closer than bunch it up with a belt, even if you still need the belt, you don't want that bunched up waist.

Big & tall stores.

Specialize in big and tall people.

That's the problem, I'm tall but not big.

The closest I've been able to find to a 28 waist and a 36" inseam are pants from American Tall. But boy do you pay for those. I'm pretty certain that you're going to have to learn how to take in a waistband if you ever want to wear pants without a belt.

It's really not that bad, and basic sewing skills are indispensable. I use mine most often to make leg holsters for various knives and tools which I use while running trot lines, as well as to fix sails and various other boat related textiles on my Hobie Cat. So sewing can definitely be used to aid in "manly" pursuits, if that kind of thing should matter to you for some reason.
