1660 Ti or 2060?

2 minutes ago, Zeitec said:

Dude 2060 is nowhere near 25% faster on average. It's between 10% and 20% depending on the reviewer (Depends on the model, which games they test, whether or not they OC, resolution, ect.) It's around 15% faster.

I get the number from JayzTwoCent review between those 3 GPUs

I am considering buying used but kind of not as much as some would expect. It is more if an unbeatable deal comes up on a used card and it isn't an eBay bidding war. I don't want to bid on stuff honestly.

That's fair enough. I don't tend to bid on stuff either. I went refurb because it has a warranty (EVGA's warranties transfer). I also had a look in second hand electronics stores (CeX in the UK) too since they guarantee their products (at least CeX does). I prefer to go with buy it now and good deals like those do come up sometimes.

Jay is showing way larger differences than every other reviewer I've seen. Hardware unboxed shows a 12% gap, Techpowerup shows a 13% gap, Anandtech showed a ~15% gap, PC Gamer showed a 12% gap, Hardware Canucks varied more but generally was 10-20% faster (around 15%), ect. They were generally around 15% faster on average, with some a bit over that. GamersNexus for example had between 15-20% faster, and as you said Jay had around 25% faster.

Main System: EVGA GTX 1080 SC, i7 8700, 16GB DDR4 Corsair LPX 3000mhz CL15, Asus Z370 Prime A, Noctua NH D15, EVGA GQ 650W, Fractal Design Define R5, 2TB Seagate Barracuda, 500gb Samsung 850 Evo
Secondary System: EVGA GTX 780ti SC, i5 3570k @ 4.5ghz, 16gb DDR3 1600mhz, MSI Z77 G43, Noctua NH D15, EVGA GQ 650W, Fractal Design Define R4, 3TB WD Caviar Blue, 250gb Samsung 850 Evo

Yeah, I would buy 1660Ti that isn't over $300 and I can't buy anything over $350 on the RTX 2060. I would buy any of the double fan cards on either. Well, actually, maybe not the Gigabyte ones. I've heard mixed things about them.

Oh I should also say, I have a 1080p monitor and it runs at 60Hz. That was the deciding factor for me really. The best card to pair with my setup. No point getting anything faster for now.

Yeah. My display is garbage. I have an 18-inch Emerson TV from 2008-2009 which is 720p. It bad. But I will be upgrading that later on. I have a Ryzen 5 2600, 12 GB of RAM, 750W Power Supply. Which model of the 2060 did you purchase?

Gigabyte GeForce OC Edition (Windforce)

I was thinking about buying the ZOTAC card for $350. Is the Windforce 3-fans?

Nah 2 fans. I was trying to decide between the two, the Zotac was out of stock so I got this one. I think I could have looked into the specs a little closer but i thought in the end I wouldnt really notice the difference. Also, I plan to sort out some type of water cooling for the card in the future I think.

Oh okay. Yeah, the ZOTAC is out of stock on Amazon. I think it is still in stock on Newegg but I don't want to pay the extra shipping costs.

Man here in Sweden if you spend over like 50USD you always get free shipping. Lol, Oh well man, good luck. Get a decent monitor too dude, totally worth it

I will likely get a monitor or use my current TV and get a nicer TV. Not sure what I will do yet. I wish Newegg was nice and made shipping free over so much $$$. The shipping cost isn't "bad", it just exists. Amazon Shipping is free in the US over $35 I think.
