Yesterday I was monitoring ssd pricing planning to get a 1tb drive, the cheapest at $85, last night I saw the cheapest jumped to $110. Anybody else notice any price jumps? (I think they may have known my tax return was coming and that I wanted a ssd)

If it was on sale and the sale ended, bye bye deal.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

Adata drives are still $100 on newegg. My guess is that 1TB drive was on sale and the sale ended.

Most likely it was for sale, but  this year you can expect SSD prices to fall, it is expected that due to the overproduction of NAND chips, the SSD will lower prices and best prices and offers will appear as we move forward in the year

They weren't on sale (at least the few I was tracking), there's just suddenly no stock for the 20 or so models that were cheaper than the current cheapest. I regret not having taken screenshots

Just wait a little longer and you'll see what I'm talking about. I have already seen it in other posts where people say that good prices are becoming more frequent.

Heck, they've already fallen quite a bit this year from late last year (of course, I bought a bunch late last year mutter, mutter, mumble, mumble).

I'm not saying prices haven't fallen, or that they won't fall again. Just pointing out that 1tb ssds just jumped up in price by quite a bit. The cheapest now being the Team L5 lite 3d for $100. The Adata su800 jumped up $30. pcpartpicker doesn't even show the price history accurately to run through the list. Perhaps they were all sold through amazon and amazon, seeing tax returns come in through refund bonus programs jacked up pricing... Wasn't monitoring enough of Amazon to be sure though

why did you buy even cheap adata ssd drives?i mean adata don't even manufacture their own flash chips..

they buy chips from brands like thosiba, micron and so on..i only used micron branded ssd and had no issues over 10 years total..

Why buy asus, evga, msi etc graphics cards? I mean they don't even manufacture their own GPUs.

Why buy AMD CPUs? I mean they don't even manufacture their own CPUs/GPUs.

I'm not even gonna bother to figure out a list of monitor manufacturers that don't produce their own panels.

Plain and simple I was looking at their ssd because it has good performance and was a good price.

For that I use this website https://camelcamelcamel.com, it tracks the prices so we can know what the current price is, what has been the lowest bid and the highest price to date.
