Repurposing old GPU heat sinks?

I have a beefy aluminum HS from a XFX R7 260X sitting around.  Ive toyed with ideas to cut it up to make little HS's, but before I do it - I thought to query you fine folks and see what you've done with your old unused heat sinks prior to engaging with my drimel.  If worthwhile I have a couple more HS's laying around as well.

 

My other thought was just saving it for maybe some DIY mods in the future but not sure what its purposes may be...any ideas would be great!

I have them sitting in a box. They don't seem very useful to me other than the few times I've needed the exact heatsink for a compatible graphics card.

Yeah I ordered some aluminum HS's already (for my project) and they are cheap AF even with the thermal tape already on them for what I would repurpose this for currently (at like 3 bucks shipped for 50 little HS's it was not even worth my time to cut this HS up lol)

 

I cant get myself to toss them out though that's for sure lol.

I sold a few, cards were fried anyway but the heatsinks and fans are worth a lot considering you can't find new replacements or order them from the manufacturers around here, that's what I did with them.

 

You could try to mod them to use them in other cards but sounds kinda hard

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
