What are some good LGA 1150 Motherboards that you all would suggest for under $150 American

also I am going to be basically moving my system and swapping out Motherboards, will I need to reinstall windows?

also if possible red and black color scheme, as my Graphics Card is that color

Case: Corsair C70, Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45, CPU: I5-4670k, RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance, GPU: Gigabyte 970 G1 Gaming , PSU: Corsair RM650W Gold, Storage: 250 GB Samsung EVO SSD, 240 GB Kingston SSDNOW

If you are going to use windows on a computer it is tied to the motherboard. If you use another motherboard with the same windows installation you used on another board, you will run into problems. So yes you would need to reinstall windows if you are going to swap motherboards.

MSI GD45, Gigabyte G1.SNIPER Z5S, Gigabyte HD3. Also I would say re-install the OS once you swap the motherboard.

OP has around $150 and it's a pretty low end board if he has a K-series chip. A good board it is though.

ATX, I plan on it and no SLI yet, but I want to be able to down the line, also will the same windows key work on a new Mobo?

Depends what kind of Windows you're using. If it's an oem key, probably not if you're doing a reinstallation. You could just use the same hard drive and not reinstall Windows but it's recommended to get the correct drivers for the motherboard.

But why? Lower quality VRM than the GD65, a worse BIOS, more brown PCB and tacky gold caps.

But still worse than the MSI. Anyways, he could have gotten a better quality G43 even though he would be giving up SLI. And some people around here (myself included) haven't exactly had the best experiences with their motherboards.

Considering the Asrock board has more features than the G43, it's a two way street for both advantages and disadvantages.

It's up to the OP whether he really wants to use sli/cf or not.

Considering the OP already selected the G45 Gaming as best answer, it seems he doesn't mind spending a bit more than $150.

the thing with the Asrock as stupid as it sounds it looks... idk cheaper while being cheaper, and a 50-60 buck difference for a much nicer look seems worth it too me personally
