What game is better optimized metro exodus or ac oddysey

Carz728

I recently bought ac oddysey and can not even run the game at 50fps low settings using a core i5 8400 and a vega 56. I really wanted to buy metro exodus but now I am hesitant because of the performance on oddyssey. Do you think metro will run better then ac oddysey?

Here's the thing, AC Odyssey is very CPU bound since it's an intensive open world game. I'm running an i5 9600k + a 1070 FTW2 which is slower than a 56 and average at 60-70 FPS with ultra 1080p settings with an absolute minimum of 31 FPS. You might have an issue with drivers unless it's really killing your CPU, to have it not even hold 50 FPS on the lowest settings seems fishy to me.

Sorry I guess I worked that a little off the game is at around 60-70 but as soon as I set foot in a city my fps dips into the 40s.  Is this happening to you as well.

Without RTX ray tracing Metro is.

At 4k I run in the 60s with ACO.

At 4k I run Metro in the 90s. In the 100s indoors.

With 4k ray tracing I am in the 40s with Metro and in the 50s indoors.

It probably dips to 40's because there are a LOT of logic and models to load in. So 40's would be pretty normal for an i5 8400, I get similar FPS in towns(Maybe 10 FPS more or so).
