Hi, I am needing some help with  a question regarding a motherboard and a CPU.

I just bought an AMD A4-7300 CPU and am going to buy a Gigabyte Aorus M mo/bo, but the pc part picker website says they are not compatible. Could someone please confirm this? Thanks!

Regards, Daniel

A4-7300 is a socket FM2, DDR3 CPU, and the B450 Aorus M is a socket AM4, DDR4 motherboard. Yeah they aren't compatible at all.

Ryzen 5 3600 | Nvidia Quadro P400 | Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro AX | Klevv Bolt XR 2x8GB DDR4-3600 CL18

Do your research next time, and don't buy the AMD A-series CPUs. They're terrible..

If you bought it from a store (for some reason these are still in stock at places like newegg) return it to the store you purchased it from for a refund. If you bought it used, well, you're shit out of luck. Try and sell it on eBay or something. Maybe someone else is stupid enough to buy it from you.

If you want a budget CPU with build in graphics, look at the Ryzen 3 2200G.
In future check parts compatibility before purchasing.
