The quest for a night vision camcorder

so, I have been looking for an infrared night vision camcorder (1, ghost hunting. 2, Outlast fan.) for AGES now and I cannot find anything that doesn't have a massive amount of negative reviews.

I need a camcorder that isn't a professional-grade super camera, not too incredibly bulky, and that doesn't have an external IR bulb (and this is a big gamble but MAYBE maybe maybe under $250 USD?)

 

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

(because I have pulled out every hair on my head trying to find one. ouch.)

All the "ghost hunter" videos you see use massive IR illumination attachments.

 

Real night vision gear can be had for pretty cheap from military surplus, but thats not a camera.

There are 3 different technieqes:
a) use IR who is not visible to human eye -> I play around with that Module: https://www.delock.de/produkte/729_Kameras/96371/merkmale.html and from ebay an Filter.

b) use a Thermal Cam like FLIR there are some USB one with a low range

c) an image adjuster or how the called in english the problem a good one cost a lot of €.
