mesh network on a budget

I'm trying to set up a mesh network on a budget for my family and i have looked into complete sets and all seem to either require ethernet cables which will 'ruin' the ascetic even if ran outside or it is overpriced, can someone assist me? Thanks.

Ethernet doesn't get ran outside it should be ran through the walls.

The only think I can think of if you really don't want to use wires would be wireless repeaters. Though this may cause reduced speeds depending on how many you're working with, signal strength, and how many hops to the router were talking about.

 

To my knowledge those are your two options. Or just get 1 extra strong AP like from Ubiquiti and find a central location for it.

Yeah repeaters woudl be a way I use them for my house but you can lose bandwidth depending on hops distance limitations of hardware and how much the actual repeaters max out at. I use Xfi Pods from work and their fine for most stuff weakest place I tested was like 75 to 78 Mbps down on the lowest level.

yes but you can do external runs and as there is a lack of crawl space that is my only option in that regard
