Which sad for msi pl62 7rc

Hi I have msi laptop pl62 7rc and I want to upgrade with 500 gb ssd. I am still confused with this m.2 sata/ nvmie storage. Speed is not that important, so I’d prefer cooler, slower drive rather than fast, hot one. Can I put m.2 sata ssd? 

 

If no, which one should I choose? 

 

Edit: Would Crucial 500 gb sata ssd  mx500 2280 be a good choice?

so, the mx 500 2280 needs for the computer's motherboard to have an m.2 slot. (from googling it appears it has one.)

 

it isn't a hot drive, and it will allow for you to use whatever you will need on that drive. I would recommend you get it if you want the SSD for your computer.

So it is compatible with this laptop? 

It’s the first time I am buying m.2 as an upgrade and want to make sure it’s right.

Yes it's compatible and MX500 is a decent drive
