If it's for a gaming PC, NVMe isn't gonna help you. If you're doing workstation tasks involving huge files, and time is money, then the 970 Evo is recommended.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Like with everything - it depends.

 

Is this your only drive? What are you going to run from the drive? What software do you use? What are you going to use it for?

 

Right now you're asking if you should buy a smaller 3GB/s NVMe SSD or a 500 MB/s SATA M.2 SSD without providing any information whatsoever. It's like asking whether you should buy a Lamborghini or a Ford Focus.

More storage unless you do something that specifically benefits from faster speed. While it's faster, for every day use, it's not worth the extra cost. It's also not worth sacrificing storage.
