Hey everyone, recently my gpu just stopped working. my build is..
Intel Core i7-4790k
MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX Motherboard

HyperX ddr3 ram 8gb ( 2x4gb sticks)
MSI AERO 8gb gtx 1070 OC
Corsair 850watt PSU

Windows 10 64 bit
my pc was working fine and then one day i was just using it and it just shut off and didn't want to start up, i rebuilt the whole system from scratch and every time i try to boot it up my pc starts for a split second but then just shuts off, (like when you build your first pc and the case cables aren't correct) i even tried the card in another build with a 600watt PSU and it did the same thing. I tried another card in my build and its working fine so my 1070 is the problem. any ideas?

Does the card smell burnt? Are any caps swollen? Are the pins still in good condition / not covered?

Yea everything is fine, nothing smells burnt and theres no smoke coming out when I boot it up.

Are there any graphical glitches? Can you go into BIOS and check if the card is being detected? Did you try launching with integrated graphics instead of off of the 1070?

You can still RMA it. An RMA is different than a return if you don't want it or something, since it's clearly defective.

ya i tried it in a whole different build, an AMD build at that. Card still doesnt work and it doesnt let the pc turn on, its like its shorting or something but idk how

Oof, if you don't think you can get it replaced by the manufacturer, would you be comfortable removing the cooler? so we can get a better look at the PCB?

even if you got it from the shady guy off the street

as long as you have the sticker with the serial number on it which I can see you do (its on the back of the card) you are good
