a little help please

Hey everyone I know you get this every day. What's the right parts for my build I have used part picker to give a rough idea of what I am looking at the area's that I am a little foggy or unsure about are the motherboard, case and psu. Do I need a custom cooler. I might do some very light overclocking as I have never done any before nether have I done updating bios. I can put it together but I feel quite unsure of my self when it comes to softwear, bios and ram timings way over my head.

It's going to be used mainly for gaming, storing family photos. Very basic word browsing
I have a colour theme that I want to work with that is white and black nothing to out there
I won't be gaming over 1080p I have monitors keyboard mouse and windows

The prices isn't set in stone as its going to be a project over the year. But saying that I don't want to go overboard so around "£850ish".

I hope this help explain what I am after.

Looks pretty good but I would completely ditch the 240GB pny SSD cause you already have the HDD and m.2.

CPU: Intel I5-7500

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master ML240

Motherboard: ASRock B250M PRO 4

Memory: 16GB Patriot Viper Elite

Gpu: Asus Dual 1060 3GB

Storage: Corsair 120GB M.2 NVME

500GB Samsung 860 EVO

1TB WD Blue

Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+Bronze

Case: Phanteks P350X

Monitors: HP Omen 25in 144hz

and some 25in Acer

Keyboard: Corsair K70 LUX RGB

Mouse: Corsair M65 Pro

Headphones= VModa Crossfade Wireless(but used wired)

Speakers: Some janky speakers I jerry-rigged

not bad, but I will still give my critisism on it

mobo: pro4 is fine, but it's a good alternative

Ram: there's one listed that's cheaper

SSD: mx500 is cheaper and equivelent

Videocard: no problems

Case: would rather look into a focus g or mb511

Psu: no need, pp11 is really good already

my alternative

btw, the ssd you listed is sata, not nvme (as far as I know)

-snip-

could bring it down even further with one of these:

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

bruh pc building is like building legos ;) your build looks good to me!

if you don't care about worksation stuff at all, then you could go for a ryzen 3 2200g seeing as it is very similar performance but again, thats just me thinking on a budget.

https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-5-2600-vs-AMD-Ryzen-3-2200G/3955vsm441832

also, rx 580 though it has 8gb of ram, 1070 is much high in performance and I have seen some cheap ones on ebay recently:

HERE IS MY $800 BUILD if ur curious :)

all in all your parts look strong enough for 1440 so yeah

thank you all for your fast replies, its given me a lot of food for thought. i had not thought about going second hand on the graphics card. i will need to look into a different nvme if its a sata. i wanted to keep my games and my operating system on different drives.

one: nvme isn't worth it for gaming

two: pcie x2/x4 is nvme, sata is sata (for wd black is nvme)
